EOS One is the software EOS Worldwide makes for companies that run on EOS. It has the V/TO, Rocks, the Scorecard, Level 10 Meetings, and the Issues List. Headwater has its own method. In Headwater, the vision is joined to each quarter’s climbs by pillars and initiatives, and every team checks in on Monday and meets for an hour each week.
EOS One is built around the EOS tools, and most of them have a place in Headwater. The V/TO becomes the vision and pillars, Rocks become climbs, the Level 10 Meeting becomes the huddle, and the Accountability Chart becomes the ownership chart. The Issues List has its own place too.
Headwater has no scorecard, to-do list, or headlines. Work a team agrees in a huddle becomes a milestone on a climb or a new issue, and news the team needs to talk about goes on its issues list.

The vision is one sentence about where the company will be by a set year. It comes with targets and a list of things the company has decided not to do. Under the vision are three to five pillars. A pillar is an area of work the company has chosen to reach its vision.

EOS One has the Level 10 Meeting built in, with its agenda and timers. The meeting lasts 90 minutes and has seven parts, and IDS, the part for solving issues, takes 60 of them.
A huddle in Headwater lasts an hour and has five steps. There is nothing to prepare, because everything in it comes from work already done in Headwater. The wins are the milestones ticked and issues solved since the last huddle, and each climb’s status comes from its owner’s Monday check-in.
Each team in the company has its own huddle. When it ends, Headwater saves a record with the issues solved and the decisions made.

In EOS, the V/TO sets out a ten-year target, a three-year picture, and a one-year plan. The leadership team sets Rocks each quarter from the one-year plan.
Headwater adds initiatives. An initiative is a project for one of the pillars that runs across quarters, with a climb for each quarter’s part of the work. Open café five in York runs from July to March. Its climb this quarter is Fit out the York café, and its climb for January to March is Open the York café.
Progress is the share of milestones ticked on climbs, and it is added up for each initiative, each pillar, and the whole plan. Tick one of Maya’s milestones on Sign 12 new cafés in Leeds to see each level change.
